A B2B demand generation agency builds and captures demand for your product among the companies that could buy it. In practice that means some mix of positioning, content, paid media (mostly LinkedIn and Google), outbound, events and the reporting that ties all of it to pipeline. The good ones care less about how many leads a campaign produced and more about how many of those accounts turned into real opportunities. This guide ranks the 10 B2B demand generation agencies buyers shortlist most often in 2026, with what each one actually does, who it fits, and the numbers each firm publishes about itself.

I run frontBrick, so we are first on this list, and I am saying that up front. Everything about the other nine comes from their own websites, checked on 4 November 2026. When a firm publishes a number, I attribute it to them. When a firm does not publish pricing, I say so instead of guessing. None of the other agencies are linked, because this is a buyer's guide, not a link exchange.

Demand generation vs lead generation

People use the two terms as if they mean the same thing. They do not. Lead generation is about collecting contact details from people who are ready to talk now. Demand generation is about making sure the much larger group who are not ready yet know who you are and remember you when they are. The LinkedIn B2B Institute's 95:5 rule puts a number on it: in a typical B2B category only about 5% of buyers are in market at any given time, and the other 95% will buy later.

That split explains why the agencies below look so different from each other. Some are paid media and brand shops that work on the 95%. Some are outbound firms that go after the 5% directly. The better programs do both, and they measure the result in pipeline, not clicks. If you want the deeper definition, the Wikipedia entry on demand generation is a reasonable neutral starting point, and Forrester's B2B marketing research is where many of the frameworks these agencies use came from.

How we ranked these demand generation agencies

I started with the firms that Google ranks for "b2b demand generation agency" and the agencies that ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google's AI answers name when buyers ask for demand gen help. Then I checked each firm's own website and scored it on five things:

  1. Pipeline focus. Does the agency talk about qualified pipeline and revenue, or only about leads and traffic?
  2. Channel mix. Paid media, content, outbound, events and ABM, and whether those channels work as one program.
  3. Fit by stage. Who the agency says it is built for: startups, Series B and later, enterprise, or specific industries.
  4. Published proof. Case studies and numbers on its own site, attributed to the firm.
  5. Pricing transparency. Whether you can see what it costs before a sales call.

Being a well known name was not enough on its own. A firm had to be a real demand generation agency with its own team and a clear offer.

1. frontBrick

frontBrick homepage

frontBrick is the agency I run with Jovana. We are a small team of GTM engineers, and our view of demand generation is simple: decide which accounts you want, then make sure the right people at those accounts hear from you in more than one place. We use Clay to build and enrich the target account list, check role and company fit and remove your existing customers and open deals. Then we run outbound email and LinkedIn outreach to those people, and our ABM program adds LinkedIn Ads aimed at the same accounts so they keep seeing you between conversations.

What we have published. For Prediction Guard, we connected audience research, LinkedIn outreach and sales handoff in one system. The first week produced 11 interested leads, and the same campaign has since reached 70, with interest from people at Apple, Meta, Ford, Uber, Amazon, Palantir and Vanguard.

Pricing. Our ongoing email and LinkedIn program starts at $4,500 per month with tools included, and our ABM program with coordinated ads starts at $7,000 per month. Ad spend is agreed separately. Full details are on our pricing page.

Best for: B2B SaaS companies and agencies with a clear ICP that want outbound, LinkedIn and ads working from one research layer.

Watch out for: we are not a brand or creative agency. If you need a new visual identity or a large video ad production, hire a specialist for that part.

2. Refine Labs

Refine Labs homepage
Refine Labs homepage, captured 4 November 2026

Refine Labs is one of the best known names in B2B demand generation, and its homepage is the top organic result on Google for "b2b demand generation agency". Its pitch is that brand, demand and expansion usually run as three separate motions with three budgets, and that it brings them together with strategy and paid media in one program. It runs LinkedIn, Google, YouTube, Meta, CTV and out of home channels and builds the creative for them.

Published results. Refine Labs reports a 41% average increase in high intent demo requests and 33% average pipeline value growth across clients, and says 5 of 8 clients grew high intent demand after engaging it, comparing three quarters before and after kickoff.

Pricing. Not published.

Best for: B2B tech companies at Series B and beyond, which is the group Refine Labs says it works with, especially teams that already spend on paid media and cannot explain why pipeline is not growing.

3. Directive

Directive homepage
Directive homepage, captured 4 November 2026

Directive calls itself an independent B2B agency and says it has been solving tough challenges for B2B businesses since 2013. It combines content, paid media, creative and RevOps into one growth system, and its methodology is built around a single outcome: qualified pipeline. It also has separate playbooks for technology, industrial and services companies.

Published proof. Directive lists 130+ marketing strategists, 700+ brands served and $1B+ in revenue generated on its homepage.

Pricing. Directive sells a Customer Generation DIY course for $399 for teams that want to apply its method without a retainer. Pricing for managed services is not published.

Best for: larger B2B companies that want one agency running content, paid media and RevOps together, and teams that want to learn the method first through the course.

4. Kalungi

Kalungi homepage
Kalungi homepage, captured 4 November 2026

Kalungi is an outsourced SaaS marketing department. Instead of running one channel, it installs a whole demand generation engine, from positioning and messaging to websites, SEO and campaigns, and it offers different levels of support depending on how much of the work you want it to do. Its full service package is described as replacing 10+ hires.

Published results. Kalungi says it has scaled 280+ SaaS companies. Among its published case studies, it reports taking DataGuard from zero marketing to a full growth engine in under six months, with 330% MQL growth and $4M in pipeline, and driving $4.7M in pipeline for CPGvision.

Pricing. Not published, though Kalungi says pay per performance is available on its full service package.

Best for: early stage and growth stage SaaS companies that do not have a marketing team yet and want one in a single contract.

5. Belkins

Belkins homepage
Belkins homepage, captured 4 November 2026

Belkins is best known for appointment setting and outbound, and it now sells demand generation as a separate service. Its approach is different from the paid media shops above: before scaling awareness, Belkins validates demand through focused outreach across email, LinkedIn and calling, then grows LinkedIn presence for your executives, runs webinars and events, and adds paid ads aligned with the outbound campaigns.

Published proof. Belkins says 1,000+ B2B companies trust it to run inbound and outbound campaigns.

Pricing. Not published.

Best for: B2B companies that want demand generation to start with real sales conversations rather than a long brand phase.

6. Ironpaper

Ironpaper homepage
Ironpaper homepage, captured 4 November 2026

Ironpaper describes itself as a B2B growth agency for companies with a long or complex sales process. Its demand generation work starts with conversion rate optimization on what you already have, then adds targeted advertising, content and post conversion nurturing. On the data side, it implements reporting, progressive profiling, lead scoring, marketing automation and attribution tracking so you can see which campaigns produce qualified leads.

Pricing. Not published.

Best for: B2B companies with long sales cycles that want their existing site and content to convert better before spending more on traffic. Ironpaper also runs ABM and says many of its clients use both approaches.

7. Heinz Marketing

Heinz Marketing homepage

What does a B2B demand generation agency cost?

Almost no one in this category publishes a price. Of the ten firms above, only frontBrick publishes program prices ($4,500 per month for email and LinkedIn, $7,000 per month for ABM with ads), and Directive publishes a $399 DIY course. Everyone else asks you to book a call.

What drives the price is easier to describe:

Cost driver Why it moves the price
Number of channels Paid media, outbound, content and events each need their own people.
Media spend Most agencies charge a fee on top of ad spend, which you pay to the platforms directly.
Creative production Video and design heavy campaigns cost much more than text and static ads.
Data and research Clean, enriched account lists take tools and time, and they decide whether everything else works.
Reporting and RevOps Pipeline attribution needs CRM work, not just an ads dashboard.
Strategy seniority Senior strategists cost more, and they are usually the reason the program works.

When you compare quotes, ask each agency to separate its fee from media spend and tools, and to show you which line items you would still pay for if you paused the ads.

Demand generation agency vs building it in house

An agency makes sense when you need several channels running quickly and you do not have the people for all of them. Hiring a paid media specialist, a content marketer, an outbound lead and a marketing ops person takes months and costs more than most agency retainers. An in house team makes sense once you know which channels work and you want that knowledge inside the company.

A middle path that works well for many of our clients: let an agency build and run the program for six to twelve months, document everything, then bring the parts that work in house. If outbound is the part you want to own, our guide to outsourced lead generation walks through the models and costs.

How to vet a demand generation agency before you sign

  1. Ask how they define success. If the answer is MQLs or cost per lead, push for pipeline and closed revenue.
  2. Ask which accounts they would target. A good agency will want your ICP and your best customers before it talks about channels.
  3. Ask to see a real report. Look for opportunities and pipeline by channel, not only impressions and clicks.
  4. Ask who does the work. Find out who your strategist is and who runs the day to day campaigns.
  5. Ask how they handle buying signals. The best programs react when target accounts show interest. Our guide to B2B buying signals covers the signals worth acting on.
  6. Ask about contract terms. Know the minimum term, the notice period and who owns the ad accounts, data and creative when you leave.

Should you choose demand gen, ABM or outbound?

These are not competing choices so much as different levels of focus. Demand generation is the widest lens: it reaches the whole market and builds awareness with the 95% who are not buying yet. ABM narrows that to a defined list of accounts and coordinates ads, content and outreach around them; our ABM agencies comparison covers that category. Outbound is the most direct: it starts conversations with specific people now, and our cold email agencies guide compares the specialists.

If your market is small and your deals are large, start with ABM and outbound. If your market is large and buyers do not know your category yet, invest in demand generation and capture the interest with outbound and retargeting.

FAQ

What does a B2B demand generation agency do?

A B2B demand generation agency builds awareness and interest among the companies that could buy from you, then turns that interest into pipeline. Depending on the agency, that includes positioning, content, paid media, outbound, events, ABM and the reporting that connects them to revenue.

How much does a B2B demand generation agency cost?

Most agencies do not publish prices. frontBrick publishes programs from $4,500 per month for email and LinkedIn and $7,000 per month for ABM with coordinated ads. Expect the fee to rise with the number of channels, creative production and strategy seniority, and expect ad spend to be billed on top.

What is the difference between demand generation and lead generation?

Lead generation collects contact details from people who are ready to talk now. Demand generation builds awareness and preference with the larger group of buyers who are not in market yet, so they think of you first when they are.

Which is the best B2B demand generation agency?

It depends on your stage and channels. frontBrick fits B2B SaaS teams that want outbound, LinkedIn and ads aimed at one target account list. Refine Labs fits Series B and later tech companies with paid media budgets, Directive fits large multi channel programs, and Kalungi fits early stage SaaS companies that need a whole marketing team.

How long does demand generation take to show results?

Outbound and retargeting can create conversations within weeks. Brand and content work usually takes several months to show up in pipeline, which is why agencies such as Refine Labs measure results over quarters rather than weeks.

Is a demand generation agency worth it for a startup?

It can be, if you have a clear ICP and enough budget to run at least one channel properly. Early stage companies without a marketing team often get more from an outsourced department like Kalungi or a focused outbound and ABM program than from a brand heavy retainer.

Should I hire a demand generation agency or an ABM agency?

Choose demand generation when you need to reach a broad market that does not know your category yet. Choose ABM when you sell to a defined list of accounts with large deal sizes. Many B2B teams combine both, using ABM and outbound on their top accounts and demand generation for everyone else.
